The Aalen-Neukochen plant houses the headquarters of the Palm group of companies and Papierfabrik Palm. In 1872, Adolf Palm, merely 26 years old, laid the foundation stone for the family-owned company nearby the water power of the river Kocher and the strategically important railway station.
Along with administration and sales for the three German paper mills, there are two paper machines for corrugated board papers and one for Newsprint at the location. Waste water is purified mechanically and entirely biologically in the company’s own industrial clarification plant. The mills own combined heat and power plant supplies all the energy and steam for this location.
